Submissions

Q: Can I submit work that has been published elsewhere? A: Yes! We welcome papers that have been published or submitted to other venues. However, you must acknowledge the original publication in your submission.

Q: What’s the difference between the main track and CPDC track? A: The main track is for general research papers (4-8 pages) and extended abstracts (2 pages). The CPDC track is specifically for technical reports from participants in the Common-sense Persona-Grounded Dialogue Challenge competition.

Q: Are the proceedings archival? A: No, the workshop proceedings are non-archival. Accepted papers will be posted on the workshop website but will not appear in the EMNLP proceedings.

Presentations

Q: Will all accepted papers be presented? A: Yes! All accepted papers will be presented as posters. Additionally, the program committee will select a few papers for oral presentations.

Q: Do I need to attend in person? A: The workshop will be held in Suzhou, China. Please check the main EMNLP 2025 website for information about remote participation options.

Competition

Q: Do I need to participate in the CPDC competition to submit to the workshop? A: No! The competition is optional. You can submit to the main track regardless of competition participation.

Q: Can I submit both a main track paper and a CPDC technical report? A: Yes, if you’re participating in the competition and have other research to share.
